Oversized Shipments and Wind Turbine Components

The NPCC is positioned to serve as a transload and staging area for wind towers, blades, nacelles and other equipment associated with the power industry. With access to both BNSF and Canadian Pacific Railway, the facility has a 5 acre transload facility and an additional 180 acres that can be used for a lay down and storage site.

The five acre transload facility has a crushed concrete, level surface. The facility has lighting and is fenced. The roads leading into and out of the facility to I-94 (east/west) and Hwy 83 (north/south) are considered a heavy haul corridor and were built to accomodate dimensional loads.

  • Concrete pad adjacent to the rail inside the transload area -pad is 500' X 60' and rated at 6000 psi
